Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I turn off my water?

In an emergency, you need to find the shut-off for your sprinkler system. Most of the time, turning off the timer will not stop a zone if a valve is stuck open. For reclaimed water systems, you will need to find the meter box by the road and turn it off there. For potable city water systems, you should have a backflow device, usually found on the side of your house.

When are my watering days?

In Orange County, FL, your watering days match your house number. Even numbers water on Thursday and Sunday. Odd numbers water on Wednesday and Saturday. Remember to adjust your timer to one day a week during Eastern Standard Time (November to March) to follow local rules and save water.

Do I need a rain sensor?

Yes, rain sensors are highly recommended and often required by local rules. They automatically shut off your system when it rains, saving water and lowering your bill. Because traditional sensors can break down in our harsh Florida weather, we highly recommend upgrading to a smart home timer that connects to the internet and checks local weather reports automatically.
